Autumn in Sweden | Cannelle et Vanille (Kitchen Ingredients Display)
Beetroot belongs to the same family as chard and spinach. Typically a rich purple colour, beetroot can also be white or golden. Both the leaves and root can be eaten. The leaves actually have even more iron than spinach, as well as a higher nutritional value overall than the beetroot itself. Although beets have the highest sugar content of all vegetables, most people can safely eat beetroots a few times a week. They can help lower blood pressure, boost stamina, detoxify and fight inflammation.
